Volunteer Internship in Ministry Development

Scope of Internship:
May include, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:

• Participate in Compassion Ministry Essentials Training (CMET)
• Meet with Executives and other CHF personnel for additional overview and understanding of CHF’s ministry, both domestic (U.S.) and international
• Participate in weekly Mercy Network distribution activity at the CHF warehouse, including meeting and greeting Mercy Network personnel and assisting with the distribution activity
• Attend visits/meetings/in-home distribution with local Mercy Network churches
• Local area product pick-up ride-along with one of CHF’s Drivers
• Project overview and training
• Assist in container logistics, overseas trip logistics
• Participate in department meetings
• Assist with various office-related projects (e.g., filing, copying, scanning)

Qualifications:

• Confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; active in a local church
• Ability to accept and follow supervisory direction and instructions
• Familiar with basic personal computer usage (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs
• Ability to use a copy machine/fax machine/scanner
• Able to travel as needed
