A Family Transformed
The Ramirez family is a great example of the type of transformation you help bring about. Like many families, the Ramirez family fell upon hard times. Unable to find work, they were homeless and left to find shelter in local parks. The four kids huddled together each night, sharing two blankets between them. They often moved from park to park because law enforcement asked them to leave. That created even greater uncertainty and despair for the Ramirez children. Life looked bleak and hope was nearly lost—until they met Sarah.
Sarah is a volunteer from one of CHF’s trained Mercy Network churches. She invited the Ramirez family to come by the church and receive some much-needed food. But Sarah didn’t stop there. She also opened up her home to the Ramirez family, giving them shelter and showing Christ’s love. The Ramirez family is currently living in Sarah’s house. They receive Food Paks from the local church and are visited weekly by church members. Sarah’s compassion opened up a door to share the life-changing message of God’s love with them. The entire Ramirez family professed faith in Christ and they are now actively serving in the church.
That is a testimony of radical transformation! Only God can change a family so drastically. And He uses YOU to help bring about that change!
