Five years ago, Jimmy Robles was dealing drugs on the streets of San Antonio. Today, he is a changed man, a pastor, helping many of the same people to whom he had previously sold drugs. Located on a notoriously dangerous corner in San Antonio, Jimmy’s church, Last Chance Ministries, offers light and life to a fringe culture that only knows darkness and death. Weary of their unhappy lives, drug addicts, prostitutes and gang members have come to trust Jimmy through the compassionate care he provides. Many are following in his footsteps making dramatic life changes as well.

Recently, Last Chance began to use CHF Food Paks in their outreach to the families struggling to survive in this environment. Targeting homes with children, Jimmy delivers Food Paks on a regular basis. The home-delivery method opens opportunities to build relationships with the parents and to address their deeper needs. Pastor Jimmy and the volunteers at Last Chance Ministries now bring light into a dark place where few others dare to go.
