The Founders Movement exists to support CHF Southwest as it grows through personal and corporate relationships. CHF Southwest Founders recognize the need, the opportunity, and the potential of CHF's programs in the Southwest and are committed to investing in their success. The Need It is no secret that poverty has devastating effects on the lives of children. One billion of the world's children die from hunger related causes. The Southwest has its own share of children suffering in poverty. Today, over 38 million Southwesterners live below the poverty line! Each of the Southwestern States CHF intends to serve (Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas) have poverty percentages above the national average. Whether in the inner-cities or rural towns, children in communities across the country are suffering in poverty. (Income, Earnings, and Poverty Data from the 2007 American Community Survey, U.S. Department of Commerce) The Opportunity Since Hurricane Katrina's devastation in the gulf, CHF has built relationships with individuals, churches, and corporations in the region. Our flagship Food PakĀ® program has provided food and the hope of the Gospel message to thousands of needy children and families in Texas. Many individuals are enthusiastically reaching out with CHF resources. The reality is that there are no charities in the Southwest like CHF that equip the church to serve the poor. The opportunity to make a lasting impact is tremendous. The Potential The first goal of the Founders Movement is to raise $500,000 for ministry launch in San Antonio. This will cover our operations for the first 2 years. CHF Southwest will be in position to equip networks of local churches to meet the needs of the poor throughout the region for years to come. With an honored and successful history, Children's Hunger Fund has proven to be a charity of realized potential worldwide. CHF has operated for 17 years serving children and families in need through local churches and international missions. Recognized by Forbes.com as one of America's most cost-effective charities (less than 1% overhead), CHF has distributed more than $800 million in aid. The Commitment We are asking individuals to become CHF Southwest Founders by making personal or corporate financial contributions. As philanthropic associates with CHF Southwest, Founders will have opportunities to raise funds and awareness through personal appeals and outreach among their own friends and corporate contacts. Founders will be able to give their time and talents to the cause of recruiting new Founders and volunteers. Also, Founders will have access to campaigns and programs that they can utilize to serve the ministry of their own home churches. Become a CHF Southwest Founder and let your life and influence change the lives of many! ![]() Keystone Founder $25,000 Gable Founder $15,000 Pillar Founder $10,000 Brick Founder $7,500 Mortar Founder $1,000
