What Is The Children's Champion Award?
Share/Save/Bookmark

The Children's Champion award exists to recognize those who have used their positions of influence to ensure that children receive hope against the odds.

The enormity of suffering amongst children around the world is well known. The task of alleviating that pain is too great for any individual person or organization. Yet, each of us can do something! A great commonality between humans is that none of us choose the circumstances of our birth. Yet, for better or worse, that is what we must overcome in our lives. Some of us go beyond our personal needs and reach out to help others. The Children's Champion award exists to recognize those who have used their positions of influence in government, business and charity, to ensure that children, children they may never meet, receive hope against the odds. These are a select group of individuals who reached out to capture the tears of a suffering child and provide tangible and significant support to meet those needs. They have "championed" the cause of the defenseless, championed the needs of children. Children's Hunger Fund desires to recognize their role in the world and their particular help to us. Their assistance has made our burden lighter, has encouraged us to keep going, and has improved the lives of the children we touch. We intend to lift up these examples as models to others of how they might make a difference in their own way, in their own area of influence.
