Children’s Hunger Fund To “Resonate” At The Reagan
Share/Save/Bookmark
Los Angeles, April 13, 2009:

Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF), an L.A. based charity for poor children, is preparing to make an unforgettable impact at their Celebration Banquet. Established in 2006, The Children’s Champion Award will be presented at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library’s Air Force One Pavilion in Simi Valley, California on Sunday, April 26, 2009.
The banquet’s theme, “Resonate”, promises to ring on in the minds of CHF’s guests throughout the night. A set of giant hanging chimes will illustrate to supporters what their donations can do for children in need. “We want our guests to understand their true impact,” said Dave Phillips, CHF President. “We want them to see how their support, no matter how big or how small, will cause a reverberation that can impact more children with food, care and the love of God.”

The worldwide financial crisis has caused increasing numbers of U.S. families to experience economic hardship, many of them for the first time. Despite the increased demand for their services, Phillips is not discouraged. “The need is great, but we see this situation, as difficult as it is, as a greater opportunity to serve needy children.”

The ceremony, emceed by nationally known Pastor and author, Francis Chan, will highlight CHF’s work and honor those who meet the needs of children worldwide.

Honorees include:
Jim Daly, President and CEO of Focus On The Family

Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman, Founders of Show Hope

Proceeds will provide continued support to CHF’s Children’s Champion Initiative, expanding their reach and potential to serve children in need.

SFC Antonio Giuliano, the lead soloist for the U.S. Army Band will give a special performance.

USANA Health Sciences, a sustaining supporter of CHF, is the lead sponsor of the banquet. Regency Lighting also provided significant funding. Other sponsors include McCormick Consulting Group, P.A.C. Properties, Anita G. Inc., Shepherd of the Hills Church, Central Parking System, and California National Bank.
