Children's Hunger Fund supplies local ministries with resources to help them connect with the poor and bring joy into their lives. The food and toys they give out are used to build relationships with needy families.

She shared that she had no food to give the children. The furniture that they have was all found in the streets and washed so they could use it. She said they would have no tree for Christmas, no gifts for the children, and they would not be able to pay their rent. The ministry leader prayed for them and encouraged them saying, "Jesus can change your situation". Pamela brought her children to the event the next day and participated in the fun activities and games. During a raffle, a boy won a bike. It was a girls' bike so he asked the ministry leader to give it to a girl. They gave the bike to Pamela's eldest daughter. Then the family went through the line to receive the Children's Hunger Fund toys and food. They went away with their arms overloaded. Pamela's family was overwhelmed by the generosity and love showed to them. On a follow up visit to Ervin and Pamela's home, Ervin poured out his heart saying, "I want to change my life. I want to have peace in my home. I want to be able to work and give the children what they need." The ministry leaders prayed again with them. They shared with them the need to forgive one another and to begin to restore their marriage. They invited them to church on Sunday to help them connect with a community of people who love and serve one another.

At the church, the pastor introduced the family and asked the congregation to do what they could to help them. Several people came to them with financial offerings and promises to help them with whatever they needed. They were given $300 in cash, $250 in groceries and gift cards, a bedroom set of furniture, a new TV, and a Christmas tree. The congregation has continued to come alongside the family to help them through this hard time. Ervin and Pamela are humble and grateful for all that God has done for their children.
