Mercy Networks

CHF distributes Food Paks® and bulk food through a network of compassionate ministries. We call this a "Mercy Network." Mercy Network ministries deliver Food Paks to homes and distribute bulk food at regular distribution events.

Delivering Food Paks

In various regions around the world, large local churches or non-governmental organizations serve as hubs for distribution of CHF resources throughout widespread networks. These Mercy Networks supply indigenous churches with a pool of resources. CHF provides in-depth training to help community leaders develop philosophies and standards that will influence the way they serve. CHF supplies nutritious foods, clothing, medicine, and toys at no cost so they can show generous, compassionate care to the children and families in their communities.

The earth shook and houses fell. Haiti’s families were left homeless.

Today, an estimated 1.2 million people are living in and around Port-au-Prince under makeshift shelters of bed sheets and tarps held up by tree-branches. Typically occupying a space no bigger than ten square feet, these “homes” were set up, one beside another, in unplanned grids over parks and vacant lots wherever flat ground was found. Over the last three months, these structures served to provide only limited privacy and shade from the hundred-degree heat, nothing more. For the next two months, torrential tropical rains will drench these tent cities, further testing the abilities of the people to survive. The task to bring recovery to the lives of Haiti’s children is immense. People tend to look at a seemingly insurmountable situation like this and deny the possibility of hope. But in the hearts of those children and families to whom Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF) has provided food, water, and tents, hope is revived.
