Ministry Development Coordinator, Midwest
Location: Homewood, IL  Summary The Ministry Development Coordinator, Midwest assists with developing and maintaining relationships with local Mercy Network churches in the Midwest for the purpose of equipping God’s church to communicate the Gospel through effective compassion ministry. This full-time, exempt position is located in Homewood, IL, and reports directly to the Ministry Development Director, Midwest. Compensation depends on experience and includes a comprehensive benefit package (medical, dental, retirement, etc.) Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Identify, approach, cultivate, maintain, and report on prospective and existing partner churches and all related activity including progress made and challenges faced in conducting biblical compassion ministryÂ
- Meet departmental and organizational requirements, in terms of number of contacts made and following established processes for selecting, qualifying, developing, and approving partner churches
- Plan and prepare to equip churches to communicate the Gospel through effective compassion ministry, formally and informally, through in depth discussion and systematic instruction consistent with CHF’s approach
- Assist with developing additional Mercy Networks within the region according to CHF's vision plan
- Facilitate the distribution of products to Mercy Networks in cooperation with Operations personnel, including assisting with the loading and unloading of products by operating a forklift occasionally
- Travel locally within the region to churches and various ministry locations frequently
- Travel to CHF regional sites across the U.S. and corporate office in Southern California occasionally
- International travel may be required at least once per year
Other Duties & Responsibilities - Attend and assist with donor and volunteer events periodically, including some evenings and weekends
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Coordinate Ministry Development interns, volunteers, and part-time staff occasionally
Qualification - Received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
- Maturing in a personal relationship with Christ for at least five years
- Active in a local church for the last consecutive three years and continuing
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred, but not required
- Experienced in public speaking
- Experienced in teaching the Bible
- Experienced in working with others from various theological backgrounds
Skills - Computer literate and proficient
- Able to learn new software quickly
- Able to write proficiently
- Able to administrate tasks
Software - Microsoft Office (required)
- Power Point (helpful, but not required)
- Raiser’s Edge (helpful, but not required)
Physical Demands - Occasionally lifts under 50 lbs
- Able to set up and break down a display booth occasionally

This person also assists in arranging volunteer work days, educating volunteers about the organization’s mission and activities around the world, and coordinating logistics and events. This full-time, non-exempt position is located at the CHF facility in San Antonio, TX, and reports to the Regional Director, Southwest. This person works closely with the local Resource Development and Ministry Development teams. Compensation depends on experience and it includes a comprehensive benefit package (medical, dental, retirement, etc.). Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Set up, schedule, tear down, and clean up after volunteer days
- Give presentations (safety training, project orientation, and project summary) on volunteer days
- Receive donations and make change for pak campaigns and CHF gear purchased by volunteers
- Assist with safety and health code compliance in the warehous
- Assist with receiving, storage, and inventory control
- Facilitate product distribution to local churches
- Create reports on volunteer and food pak activity
- Update log on volunteer work days weekly
- Schedule volunteers through e-mail and telephone
- Submit inventory of pak components to supervisor weekly
- Meet with supervisor weekly to discuss and review projects
- Submit reports on safety, health code, and forklift checklists monthly
- Conduct facility maintenance (clean, repair, and improve)
- Assist with maintenance of company vehicles (trucks, and forklifts)
- Drive a 26’ straight or bobtail truck in the local area periodically

Qualifications - Received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
- Maturing in a personal relationship with Christ for at least five years
- Active in a local church for the last consecutive three years and continuing
- Two years experience in relevant business or ministry leadership or equivalent experience
- Valid Class C driver’s license
- Two years experience driving a 26’ straight or bobtail truck
- Two years experience in operating a forkliftÂ
- Fluent in English and Spanish helpful, but not required
- CPR certification helpful, but not required
Skills - Computer literate and proficient
- Able to learn new software quickly
- Able to speak publicly and organize events

WebmasterLocation: Pacoima, CA
Summary The Webmaster provides development, construction, maintenance, and support for all of Children’s Hunger Fund’s websites and online applications. This full-time, exempt position is located at corporate headquarters in Pacoima, CA, reports to the Creative Coordinator, and works closely with the Creative and Marketing Team. The compensation offered is $30,000-40,000 per year, and includes a generous benefit package (medical, dental, retirement, etc.). The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with extensive web design background, and strong literary and organizational skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities •   Manage CHF’s websites content including updating links, articles, and other items in a timely manner •   Assist in creating visual concepts and design that reflects the mission and work of CHF and support the established branding and style •   Participate in brainstorming sessions, and project development meetings with the Creative Coordinator and other team members •   Serve as first point of contact in project proposals by gathering all preliminary data for the Creative Coordinator to review and approve for use in current and future projects •   Maintain project calendar for active projects, including providing input on scheduling constraints, following up on deadlines, and recommending projects for scheduling •   Promote CHF through the internet and related media by utilizing various search engine, broadcasting, and electronic feed technology in conjunction with communications strategy •   Collaborate with IT Department and third-party developers •   Test sites for bugs and other problems to ensure stability, accessibility, and efficiency regularly •   Optimize visitor experience through testing, soliciting feedback, and providing user support •   Manage Content Management System by performing regular maintenance, backups, and upgrades •   Propose, design, manage, and conduct mass email campaigns •   Optimize search listings with SEO tools

Qualifications •   Received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord •   Maturing in a personal relationship with Christ for at least three years •   Active in a local church for the last three consecutive years and continuing •   Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience •   Minimum of three years experience in web development Skills •   Able to write creatively, concisely, and correctly •   Able to relate to and interact with others well •   Able to manage project lifecycle effectively
