Because of the rough economy, Children's Hunger Fund (CHF) wasn't sure our annual volunteer Toy Wrap event would be possible this year. And without the event, hundreds of thousands of needy children would go without on Christmas.
But companies like Ty, Allied Beverage, Target, Dole, Nestle, Muddhouse Coffee, Tyndale House Publishers, and North American Bear Co., saved the day by donating a huge amount of toys and other essentials to make the event possible.
"It goes so much deeper than toys," explained Dave Phillips, President of Children's Hunger Fund. "When CHF gives a toy to a child in crisis we're also giving that child hope for a brighter tomorrow."

2010 Toy Wrap Recap
On Saturday, Dec. 4, thousands of volunteers showed up at CHF locations in three states to wrap toys to give to needy children this Christmas. In Los Angeles, 1,500 volunteers wrapped 50,000 toys. In Texas, 300 volunteers wrapped 20,000, and in Chicago, despite three inches of snow, 500 volunteers wrapped over 20,000 toys. Combined, that is a total of over 2,000 people reaching out to give toys to more than 90,000 suffering children across America and around the world.
