Restoring Hope When Hope is Lost

One girl finds out that someone cares.

Meet "Beth." She and her seven brothers and sisters live in a one- bedroom basement apartment in Little Village, an underserved area of Chicago. Beth is a sweet and courageous young girl, but life can be rough. With eight kids to feed and expensive medical bills, her dad did what many desperate men do, he left. Beth's recent kidney transplant and treatment keeps her mother with her at the hospital much of the day, unable to keep a steady job. With so much to despair about, hope is not something Beth has much of.

Beth's mother shared that one of the highlights of their week is when Emi and Chris from New Life Church come to their house to visit. Desiring to restore hope to this hurting family, they bring Food Paks to ease some of the urgent needs. They pray for them, weep with them, and encourage them.

With your help, Mercy Network churches reach out to meet the needs of families like Beth's every day. Whether in America's inner cities, or in the slums and villages of the world's poorest countries, you are showing the love of God through your generous and simple gifts.
