Community Development Programs

Hope for Tomorrow
CHF helps provide training in viable skills for young people and mothers. Classes in woodworking, sewing and mechanics are offered in orphanages in Eastern Europe. Handicrafts and clothing repair is taught in Uganda. Home building projects provide learning and jobs in Armenia. These skills provide income and self-reliance, allowing the needy to thrive and even help others. Sustainability programs restore entire communities when those generous individuals share what they’ve learned.

Teach One
Simple job training and special skill training can turn around entire communities. Sometimes all it takes is help getting started and as individuals discover their talents and develop viable job skills, they can help stimulate the economy of their entire village or community.

Reach Many
In Uganda, CHF has teamed up with organizations to help our Mercy Networks provide sewing machines and sewing classes for women. After being taught, many women will pass on what they've learned to family members and friends, expanding the opportunities even further. By teaching women the simple, but useful skill of sewing, we've brought new hope and life to individuals, families, and entire communities.
