Children’s Hunger Fund Compassion Institute “Promoting the Heart and Mind of Christ” "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." (2 Tim. 3:16,17) The Compassion Institute exists to equip recipient organizations with biblical and ministry formation that meets and exceeds the opportunity that results from meeting the range of human need. We believe this begins with God’s Word. CHF views the local church as it’s primary training recipient. CHF has the expertise and experience to equip the local church with resources to operate an effective compassion ministry focused on reaching low-income and poverty stricken children and families with the gospel of Jesus Christ. CHF extends its own value driven ministry through the training process with local churches by communicating the foundational principles of Children’s hunger Fund’s philosophy of ministry, assisting local churches to develop a foundation for compassion ministry that is based in the Scriptures. The Compassion Institute is composed of the Compassion Institute Training Team. The CITT exists to serve, challenge and train local churches to reach their communities with the gospel of Christ through effective compassion ministry. The CITT is a collection of leaders with knowledge and experience in areas of pastoral ministry, theology, teaching, leadership, and administration who are dedicated to equipping local churches through education. Compassion Ministry Essentials Training is offered as the basic training program and qualification step for local recipient churches. It is a unique training experience; challenging ministers to examine the foundations of compassion ministry and to apply biblical principles towards serving the poor in their communities. |
