CHF is blessed to continue in the relief and support effort in Haiti. If you have seen other CHF publications or the website, you'll notice that we are very committed to our partners in the Dominican Republic and Haiti who are ministering and caring for the people devastated by the earthquake. We just had a small team of CHF staff return from Haiti. Kempiz Hernandez, CHF's Ministry Development International Director, led that team and shares how we can continue to pray.

This past Monday night a team of four CHF staff returned from an intense, but profitable trip to the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Our objectives included visiting our primary partner on the ground, and pastors and local churches who are mobilizing to help with the relief efforts in Port-au-Prince. We were greatly blessed to see how these inpiduals are selflesslely and sacrificially giving of themselves without asking for anything in return. It is evident that the love of God truly is working mightily in and through them.

During our time in Haiti we witnessed the devastation all around us and in the eyes of the people. Truly this earthquake has been an event that has touched their lives in ways that we did not even imagine. However, in the midst of it all, it was evident that God is working in and through the local churches, both from the Dominican and the country of Haiti itself, for His glory. These churches are committed not only to short-term relief efforts, but to a long-term plan of recovery. We praise God for strategically placing these churches in Haiti to provide both material help and the hope of Jesus Christ to people who desperately need it.

Pray for the pastors and local churches who are tirelessly working to care for the needs of these suffering people for the progress of the Gospel.

Pray for Esperanza International, our primary partner on the ground, as they release containers of aid and distribute to the various local churches and partnering organizations.

Pray for God's continual provision, as the cost of sending, releasing, and distributing containers is high, especially during this crisis time.

Pray for God to grant CHF wisdom in how to best come alongside of those serving in Port-au-Prince, both financially and relationally.

Thank you for praying.
