As many if you know, CHF has been blessed to be a part of helping churches in distant lands. With the recent training of churches in the Dominican Republic, expanding ministry into the Caribbean, and expanding into Thailand, we continue to see the Lord's faithfulness to His church. I am excited to introduce the newest member of our team. Michael Edwards is our new Ministry Development Coordinator who will give leadership to developing ministry in Eastern Europe. Here is a brief introduction to Michael Edwards and how you can be praying for His work in Eastern Europe.

I'm grateful to our mutual Lord & Savior to be working for CHF. Like many of you, I have already been working with CHF and have been blessed by this ministry. I began my relationship with CHF as a volunteer in the Pacoima warehouse. My local church regularly sent teams to assemble Food Paks® on Saturday mornings.

Soon after, our God called me to get formally trained for gospel ministry at a local seminary. Then in August 2007, I tendered my resignation from a staff position at a local church to head into a crazy new adventure: to team plant an urban church in Hollywood, CA!

Remembering the CHF Food Pak ministry opportunity tool, we immediately began the application process to become a CHF recipient church. We completed CHF Compassion Ministry Essentials Training by mid-2008. For the past two years, we have had the distinct privilege of taking Food Paks into the broken neighborhoods of inner-city Los Angeles.

I'm now elated to come alongside local churches in Eastern Europe to assist them with their compassion ministry to their communities. It is a real honor to work with pastors and fellow workers in His vineyard as the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ goes forth to the ends of the earth!

Pray for the lost people of Eastern Europe that they would be broken to believe the Gospel message turning to Jesus Christ as their only hope.

Pray for the Lord of the harvest to call and equip faithful workers in Eastern Europe.

Pray for CHF staff to have wisdom and discernment to build fruitful relationships in Eastern Europe that will bring glory to the head of the church, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pray that the Lord of everything would continue to graciously supply CHF with the needed capital, resources, and Food Pak volunteers in Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Antonio... to the ends of the earth.
