CHF President and Founder, Dave PhilipsDave Phillips, President
Dave founded CHF in 1991 with a desire to provide suffering children with tangible relief through the surplus products of corporate America and spiritual relief through compassionate local churches. From this desire, CHF’s Mercy Network model was born and has since distributed more than $875 million in aid, bringing hope to children in 35 U.S. states and 72 countries worldwide.

Prior to founding CHF, Dave served seven years at World Opportunities International, a relief organization located in Hollywood, California. As Director of Operations, he developed a food program servicing over 350 agencies, distributing an average of 2.4 million pounds of food each month to poor families in South Central Los Angeles. Dave has actively participated in service to Los Angeles area communities since graduating from Westmont College in 1984.

Dave and his wife, Lynn, presently reside in Simi Valley, California with their four sons.

Tim Kirk, Vice President
Tim joined Children's Hunger Fund in 1998 as Operations Manager to support the growth and development of the organization - then only nine employees. Now as Vice President, he oversees a staff of 50 in Operations, Ministry Development, and Resource Development, with offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Antonio.

Holding CHF's vision and daily practices accountable to its values, purpose, and mission, Tim is responsible for the overall stewardship of the organization and its employees. Tim graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. with a B.A. in Economics and Business. Prior to joining CHF, he spent nine years in retail management.

Tim and his wife, Jill, presently reside in Simi Valley, California with their five children.

Mark Rodriguez, Executive Director of Ministry Development
Ministry Development accomplishes the overall purpose of CHF through the establishment of quality ministry partnerships and the creation and maintenance of appropriate ministry programs and projects.

The Ministry Development team is responsible for overseeing CHF ministry outcomes as it relates to recipients.

Paul Ackerman, Executive Director of Resource Development
Resource Development works with corporations, individuals and churches to help them share their resources with the children CHF serves.

By building relationships with those who can help, the Resource Development team is able to direct resources to where they are needed most.
