IT Applications Coordinator
Location: Pacoima, CA
Organization Children's Hunger Fund (CHF) is an evangelical Christian non-profit organization founded in 1991. The mission of CHF is to alleviate the suffering of children by equipping God's Church to communicate the Gospel through effective compassion ministry.
Summary The IT Applications Coordinator manages IT services related to applications. The position reports directly to the IT Director and works closely with the IT Service Desk Assistant. The position is located at Headquarters in Pacoima, CA. The position is full-time, exempt, and includes benefits. Salary depends on experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Application development
- Application training and support
- Database administration
- Recommend and maintain standardized software for desktops and laptops
- Resolve service desk issues such as bug reports and feature requests
- Report monthly on projects
Other Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with 3rd party vendors and consultants related to applications development and deployment
- Meet with departments to maintain and support application portfolios
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Does not currently have supervisory responsibilities
Qualifications
- At least one of the following
- Four-year degree in computer science and two years of IT-related experience
- Two-year degree in another field and four years of software development experience
- At least two years of IT experience working for a non-profit organization (helpful, not required)
- Experience developing with PHP or other web-based programming language
- Certifications may be beneficial but not necessary
Skills
- Strong programming and scripting skills
- Model-View-Controller (MVC) design and development
- Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP) development
- Familiarity with Microsoft IIS and SQL Server
- Proficiency with computer systems and software applications is expected

Marketing Coordinator
Location: Pacoima, CA

Summary The Marketing Coordinator conducts and evaluates market research, assists in the development of targeted programs and promotional strategies, and effectively conveys direct messaging in line with the organization's identity through all branches. These strategies include donor acquisition, retention, and development.
This full-time, exempt position is located at Corporate Headquarters in Pacoima, CA, reports to the Creative and Marketing Director, and works closely with the creative and marketing team to develop CHF's local and national presence through creating and implementing promotional strategies and coordinating all media-related activities. Compensation depends on experience. A generous benefit package is included (medical, dental, retirement, etc.)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, scheduling, and implementation of marketing strategies
- Develop viable and innovative promotional campaigns and programs
- Work closely with Regional Directors to develop and implement regional marketing strategies Review market research and identify observable trends as well as competitor methods
- Review current tactics and ask points, evaluating success, and recommending change when necessary
- Evaluate donor data, identifying donor segments and demographics
- Assist writing copy for direct mail pieces, websites, and other marketing materials Write and pitch press releases, by-line articles, advertisements, and other material consistent with organizational messaging and according to accepted journalistic standards
- Develop and manage relationships and requests from online, print, and broadcast media
- Assist in arranging speaking opportunities and coordinating company spokespersons Review editorial schedules for publications
- Arrange press attendance for events Provide current media materials for press and organization spokespersons
- Manage external agency activities relative to promotional concerns
- Travel may be required domestically and internationally occasionally
- Attend and assist with coordinating volunteer, donor, and promotional events
Qualifications
- Received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord Maturing in a personal relationship with Christ for at least three years
- Active in a local church for the last consecutive three years
- Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, journalism, or communications
- 5 or more years professional experience in a related field
- Advertising or public relations agency experience preferred Experience in direct sales and customer service preferred.

Regional Director, Midwest
Location: Homewood, IL
Organization Description Children's Hunger Fund (CHF) is an evangelical Christian non-profit organization founded in 1991. The mission of CHF is to alleviate the suffering of children by equipping God's Church to communicate the Gospel through effective compassion ministry.
Summary The Regional Director provides leadership, oversight, and assistance in all departments in the local branch including Ministry Development, Resource Development, and Operations. This person serves as the face of CHF in the region. This position reports directly to the Vice President and works closely with the Executive Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ministry Development Identify approach, cultivate, maintain and report on prospective and existing partner churches and all related activity. Meet ministry requirements, in terms of number of contacts and processes, for selecting, qualifying, developing, and approving partner churches.
Resource Development Identify, solicit, cultivate, maintain and report on prospective and existing donors, individual and corporate, and all related activity. Meet resource goals for monetary and product donations. Represent CHF at various events, speak publicly and travel occasionally.
Operations Perform all administrative functions in cooperation with directors at headquarters including communications, information technology, finance and human resources. Develop marketing campaigns, prepare budgets, promote and enforce company policy, and address technological issues as needed. Manage facility, vehicles and volunteer efforts (occasionally conducted on Saturdays.)
Other Duties Glorify Christ at all times by obeying the Bible. International travel may be required at least once a year. Travel to headquarters will be required at least, but not limited to, four times per year.
Qualifications

- Active member in good standing in a local church for at least three years
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Five years experience in business or ministry leadership

- Manage schedules and track attendance.
Communication
- Input MD and RD data, the previous week's activity (Sat-Thurs), into Raiser's Edge on a daily basis - delegate to staff as needed.
- Create an OP activity report summarizing the previous week's activity (Sat-Thurs) and e-mail to the Executive Team every Thursday.
- Review all past and projected activity with Executive Team via telephone weekly.
